About Recovery Speakers

Our Mission

Our mission is to preserve and provide public access to the complete history of the 12-Step recovery movement. Our resources support individual recovery while documenting an integral, yet often underappreciated, part of American social and cultural history.

We steward and make accessible historically significant audio recordings, rare books, artifacts, and memorabilia as primary source materials that reflect a grassroots movement impacting millions worldwide. By safeguarding these materials and expanding discovery through digitization and research access, we deepen public understanding of the 12 Steps and support recovery for present and future generations.
