In recovery, it is always helpful to share our stories and insights with each other, or to say some kind words to affirm each other and draw some inspiration from, and sometimes it’s nice to just have a laugh at something funny that a person said. But one thing that is very well known in recovery is that not much of what is said in a 12 step meetings is original. It is all a story handed down. In recovery we all try to put words to our experience and sometimes it is difficult to find the words.
