THE STORY OF TOM I.

Southern Pines, North Carolina Sobriety Date: February 2, 1957

At twenty-three years old, Tom I. sat in a jail cell in Flint, Michigan, after a drunken blackout that took two innocent lives.

Sentenced to five to fifteen years in Jackson Prison, Tom believed his life was over. But inside those prison walls he walked into his first meeting of Alcoholics Anonymous.

There he found a sponsor, the Twelve Steps, and a spiritual awakening that altered his life forever. After his release from prison, Tom returned to North Carolina and devoted his life to helping alcoholics - especially those behind prison walls.
