This is a very special recording and piece of AA History. The only known recording of Anne Smith’s voice! This recording took place in 1947 in Dr. Bob’s house. The voices on the recording are of Dr. Bob & Anne Smith, Smitty and his wife Betty, and George Hood. This recording took place shortly after Dr. Bob & Anne had both undergone medical procedures which would prevent them from making a trip to visit Bill and Lois in New York.
The original wire recording can now be seen on display at Dr. Bob’s Home in Akron, OH.
